Our Business

De-risking Investment: the core of our business is de risking investment in forestry through insurance against FLEXA (fire, lighting, explosion and impact of aircraft) and other perils.
Catastrophic Protection: we are also experienced in structuring catastrophic protection for commercial forestry, we understand the client’s forestry as an asset.
Carbon Delivering: ForestRe remains at the forefront of developments in forestry insurance, we are currently designing forest carbon delivery insurance.

We can provide direct insurance in territories where Lloyd’s of London is licensed [see www.lloyds.com], and more commonly, reinsurance from anywhere in the world, accepting both individual forestry risks as well as associations, groups, schemes and affinity business.

Through AgroForest Risk Management (AFRM), ForestRe’s sister company, we provide consultancy services in risk management and transfer to insurers and non-insurers. AFRM designs insurance products after data-gathering, risk analysis and modelling which leads to bespoke insurance policies for these groups and institutions with major forest portfolios.
